FBI Claims Chinese Hackers Breached Several Prominent U.S. Law Firms
The Washington office of the FBI has launched an investigation into what it describes as a cyber intrusion by Chinese hackers into multiple U.S. law firms,according to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency.
One targeted firm, William & Connolly, told Reuters that hackers gained access to some of its computer systems but did not identify China as the source of the attacks.
The company also stated there is currently no evidence indicating that confidential client details was extracted.
Neither the FBI nor the Chinese Embassy in Washington has commented on the matter. American officials have alleged cyber activities linked to China for decades, while Beijing consistently denies these accusations.
