Hamas: Kidnapping Activists Reflects Tel Aviv Leadership’s Fascist Mindset
According to the English service of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and shehab News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement condemning the Israeli navy’s capture of activists from the Freedom Flotilla in international waters. Hamas called this action a new crime and an act of piracy that adds to Israel’s record of attacks against international activists supporting Palestine. They described it as a clear violation of international law and fundamental human rights.
The statement noted that the abducted activists were supporters of the people in Gaza and were carrying urgent humanitarian aid for the besieged Palestinian population. However, Israeli forces violated clear international laws and basic human rights by blocking these supplies.
Hamas emphasized that this fearful aggression reflects the terrorist and fascist mindset of Israeli leaders, who aim to use all means to prevent aid delivery and silence voices telling their truth. The movement said these efforts are futile attempts to conceal a two-year-long genocide and organized starvation campaign against Gaza’s people.
The group held Israel fully responsible for the lives and safety of those detained. It called on the United Nations and global community to intervene promptly for their release and to prevent any mistreatment.
Hamas concluded by stressing the need for prosecuting Israeli leaders on charges of crimes against humanity.
