Fidan: Israeli Attacks Represent One of Syria’s Greatest Challenges
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan praised terrorist groups operating in Syria on Wednesday.
Fidan expressed support for the Jolani regime, stating that “the relations between Turkey and Syria and their impact on the region require close coordination between both countries.” He added, “The fight against terrorism must be pursued through a extensive policy without exclusions. The international community must fulfill its responsibilities toward Syria and its people.”
He further said, “The global community must take a firm and clear stance against Israel’s attacks on Syria. Regional and international cooperation with Syria is increasing daily. all sanctions imposed against syria and its representatives must be lifted immediately. Israeli attacks represent one of the greatest challenges facing Syria.”
Fidan continued, “Turkey will continue assisting Syria in strengthening its capabilities to combat ISIS. It is time for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to be removed from the equation. The SDF should fulfill their commitments towards preserving Syrian unity.”
Ankara’s defense of terrorist groups based in Syria comes as Turkey occupies part of Syrian territory under Bashar al-Assad’s regime, violating international law while fully supporting these armed factions.
