Trump Demands Arrest of Several U.S. Democratic Officials
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Reuters, U.S. President donald Trump called on Wednesday for the imprisonment of both the Democratic mayor of Chicago and the Democratic governor of Illinois.
Trump’s call to jail two prominent opponents critical of his immigration crackdown comes as another key political rival, James Comey, is set to appear in court facing criminal charges.
Since entering politics in 2015, Trump has frequently demanded that his opponents be jailed; however, James comey is the first to face legal prosecution.
On his social media platform, Trump accused Brandon Johnson, Chicago’s mayor, and J.B. Pritzker, Illinois governor, of failing to protect immigration officers working in Chicago.
