Zakharova: The European Union Has Long Been Stealing Our Assets
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said Wednesday that President Putin has clearly expressed Moscow’s position that US delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would damage Russia-US relations.
Zakharova added that Moscow is closely monitoring developments regarding the Tomahawk missiles adn called on the United States to exercise restraint.
She also noted that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the seventh meeting of foreign ministers from Russia and Arab countries in Moscow on October 13. Zakharova accused NATO and the European Union of covering up terrorist attacks by Ukraine on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, encouraging Kyiv to carry out further strikes and acting as accomplices. She said new evidence is emerging revealing Kyiv’s support for terrorist groups in Africa’s Sahel region. There are facts confirming cooperation between Libya’s Government of National Unity and Ukraine in organizing terrorist operations across Sahel countries.
Maria Zakharova characterized the EU’s proposal demanding compensation from Russia to Ukraine as unrealistic, stating Brussels has long been seizing Russian assets.
