German Forces Directly Involved in “Dirty Work
Mashregh News Agency, International Desk: Tehran Times published an investigative report exposing Germany’s military role during Israel’s 12-day offensive against Iran. In june,Germany was among the few countries that openly supported Israeli attacks on civilian, nuclear, and military sites in Iran. Among these nations, Germany’s backing was the most vocal. The German Chancellor described Israel as carrying out the “dirty work” of Western powers-a statement that sparked outrage not only among Iranians but also within German society.
Friedrich Merz also admitted prior knowledge of Israel’s illegal strikes and claimed that tel Aviv had no choice but to attack Iran because Israel has a “right to self-defense.” Israel justified its incursions by alleging it aimed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, resulting in over 1,000 Iranian casualties.
Though, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has never found evidence that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons progress-a fact emphasized again last week by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. Israel’s decision to launch a full-scale war against Iran pushed the region close to a devastating conflict with possibly long-term consequences not just for West Asia but globally. Germany was fully aware of these risks when supporting Israeli attacks.
New data obtained by Tehran Times shows that germany’s support extended beyond political rhetoric and diplomatic backing during this conflict. Berlin deployed troops to occupied territories and played an active role in assisting Israel achieve its military objectives.
According to an Israeli army officer collaborating with iranian intelligence, a contingent of German forces stationed in the occupied territories at Israel’s request participated directly in military operations throughout the 12-day conflict. This involvement occurred under a secret agreement between israeli and German commanders obligating tel Aviv to conceal Berlin’s role-details now uncovered by Iranian sources.
This marks Germany’s second direct alignment with aggressors targeting Iran; during Iraq’s eight-year sacred Defense War, Germany supplied chemical weapons used against Iranian forces.
The Israeli army assessed that as long as financial incentives were addressed sufficiently there would be no objections to continued German participation until war’s end. However, intensifying combat conditions and Iranian strikes on key sensitive sites led German forces to refuse deeper engagement and withdraw immediately after the brief hostilities concluded. Israelis believe France fulfilled its commitments more reliably than germans did during this recent campaign.
It remains unclear whether the German parliament approved deploying troops amid hostilities as constitutional law prohibits sending forces abroad without legislative consent-a safeguard established after World War II against unilateral governmental military actions.
Tehran Times reports that details including names of involved Germans, nature of their cooperation, and documentation are now officially held by the Islamic republic of Iran.
This revelation comes amid what Hebrew media describe as an escalating “espionage crisis” facing Israel internally: According to Shin bet (Israel Security Agency), espionage cases inside occupied territories rose nearly 400% in 2024 alone; figures are expected to climb further thru mid-2025.
A number of Israelis have been arrested recently on espionage charges linked almost entirely back to Iran. Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib stated many Israelis cooperate either for financial gain or from resentment toward Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
