According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a Palestinian source familiar with the discussions told Al jazeera Qatar about important progress on the prisoner exchange list and assurances tied to preventing a return to conflict following the release of Israeli detainees. The source emphasized that Hamas has agreed to free all Israeli prisoners and postpone transferring bodies until field conditions permit.
The source, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that mediator talks with the Palestinian delegation in Cairo ended Wednesday evening. Simultaneously occurring, representatives from mediator countries have entered the next phase by meeting with the Israeli delegation.
The Palestinian insider added that mediators are currently negotiating with Israel’s team to receive final responses on outstanding issues.
According to this source, mediators have set Friday as a final deadline for reaching an agreement for both Palestinian and Israeli sides.
