Israeli Army Ordered to Withdraw from Gaza
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, reported that Israel Defense Forces (IDF) operational teams in Gaza have received orders to prepare for a full withdrawal to rear positions in the coming days.
The Israeli military spokesperson also stated that, following directives from political leaders and based on current assessments, the army has begun operational preparations to implement the agreement.Concurrently, it is conducting combat readiness measures and preparing to reposition along revised deployment lines shortly.
Hebrew-language Kan Network confirmed that Israeli forces in Gaza have started preparing to withdraw from the territory back to agreed-upon lines.
In this regard, Israel’s security cabinet will hold a meeting at 5 p.m. Jerusalem time today to review the ceasefire agreement concerning Gaza.
Last night, Hamas officially announced reaching a ceasefire deal during negotiations held in Sharm El-Sheikh between resistance groups, mediators, and Israel. The agreement is set to end hostilities in Gaza,see Israeli occupying forces retreating,allow humanitarian aid into Gaza,and enable prisoner exchanges.
U.S. President Donald Trump also stated that Israel and Hamas have agreed on an initial phase of a ceasefire plan in Gaza.
He added that all Israeli captives will soon be released and that Israel will withdraw its troops according to agreed lines.
