Israeli Foreign Minister Struggles to Justify Tel Aviv’s Defeat
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar responded to the Gaza ceasefire agreement by attempting to obscure his regime’s failure against Hamas. He claimed, “We have not abandoned any of the war objectives or ending Hamas’ rule in Gaza.”
He added,”Expanding normalization efforts in the region works in our favor.Today, at a cabinet meeting, I will vote in favor of a plan to free Israeli prisoners.”
The Israeli foreign minister made thes remarks despite one of Tel Aviv’s primary stated goals over the past two years being the complete destruction of Hamas and Palestinian fighters-a goal that remains unmet. Rather, the resilience of resistance forces compelled Israeli leaders to negotiate a ceasefire agreement with Hamas representatives.
