China: We Hope to Reach a Comprehensive and Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, China’s ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today, Thursday, regarding the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the oppressed people of Gaza. The statement expressed hope for an expedited achievement of a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
The ministry said it is ready to cooperate with the international community to reach a just solution for the Palestine issue.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement previously released a statement responding to the ceasefire deal in Gaza, emphasizing that what was gained from the agreement on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange with Israel was not a gift from anyone.
The statement continued: “While we do not deny arab and international efforts,we stress the immense sacrifices made by the Palestinian people and also the courage and heroism shown by its fighters in confronting enemy forces on the battlefield. They demonstrated unprecedented bravery during combat; without this, resistance would never have been able to stand as a powerful contender at the negotiating table.”
