Sanctions Imposed on 29 Companies in China, UAE, and Turkey for Ties to Iran
The US Department of Commerce announced sanctions on 29 companies based in China, the UAE, adn Turkey over alleged ties to Iran.
The US Department of Commerce has added 16 Chinese companies to its export control and licensing sanctions list.According to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Shafaq News, the department claims these companies facilitated the purchase of equipment used in manufacturing drones deployed by Iran’s allies, including in Yemen.
In total, 29 companies headquartered in China, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates were sanctioned for similar reasons.
These firms have been placed on a list identifying entities whose activities are considered contrary to US national security interests.
