Al-Shaibani Heads to Beirut
Syrian sources announced that the country’s Foreign Minister will travel to Lebanon today to meet and hold talks with Lebanese officials.
Syria’s Foreign Minister, Faisal al-Shibani, will visit Lebanon today for the first time since his appointment, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing SANA.
He is traveling to Beirut to discuss bilateral relations between Syria and lebanon, as well as unresolved issues between the two countries.
A source familiar with the matter told Syrian television that al-Shibani will meet senior Lebanese officials, including President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
The source added that border demarcation with Lebanon and the status of Syrian detainees in Roumieh prison are top priorities on al-Shibani’s agenda during his visit and consultations with Lebanese authorities.
