Spain: We Will Continue Efforts for a New Wave of Palestine Recognition
Spain’s Foreign Minister called for the immediate reopening of Gaza strip crossings to allow a large-scale flow of humanitarian aid, stating that Madrid will continue leading a new wave of recognition for Palestine.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Spain’s Foreign Minister said: “We demand the immediate reopening of Gaza Strip crossings to enable a massive influx of humanitarian assistance.”
José Manuel Albares added, “We are committed to providing urgent aid to the Gaza Strip and will be present there from the moment crossings reopen.”
The Spanish minister also emphasized: ”We will continue our role in leading the new wave recognizing the State of Palestine and supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza.”
In Spain’s latest move to support Palestinians and Gaza, its parliament recently passed a law by majority vote banning any arms trade between Madrid and Tel Aviv.
