1,700 Doctors and Nurses Killed in Gaza Strip

The director general ⁣of ⁢Gaza hospitals emphasized that wiht thousands of​ wounded​ still hospitalized in the Gaza Strip, the healthcare sector faces meaningful ​challenges.

Mohammad ⁣Zaqout highlighted the damage ‌inflicted by two years⁣ of Israeli attacks on Gaza’s medical system, ⁣stating, “We ‌have lost 1,700 specialist doctors and nurses due to this war.”

He added,”We are striving to save patients while ‍hospital reconstruction in Gaza will take considerable time. There are thousands of patients here, and we cannot secure medicines needed for cancer ‌patients, diabetics,⁤ or​ pregnant women.”

Zaqout also noted their request for essential medications,medical supplies,and materials required for radiology departments. He expressed hope that this⁤ aid​ could arrive as soon as tomorrow.
