European Troika Welcomes Ceasefire in Gaza Strip
The leaders of Britain, France, and Germany issued a joint statement welcoming the ceasefire agreement, the release of prisoners, and the resumption of aid deliveries to Gaza.
They praised efforts by President Trump and mediator countries Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for securing the ceasefire deal in Gaza. The trio expressed their readiness to support further negotiations on subsequent phases of the Gaza plan.
French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized that it is crucial for all parties involved in the Gaza agreement to fulfill their obligations fully and without delay.
They also agreed that the UN Security Council must provide its full support for implementing the ceasefire plan in Gaza. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to backing humanitarian aid packages for Gaza through UN agencies.
