Mahmoud Abbas Responds to Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,⁤ citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, spoke for the ‍first ⁣time on Israeli‌ television ‌regarding the Gaza ceasefire agreement, expressing his‌ support for the deal.

He added that reforms pledged by the Palestinian Authority in various‍ areas, including security matters, are progressing in coordination with​ the⁤ United States.

Abbas stated that everyone seeks to halt bloodshed in Gaza and that thay are pleased with reaching this agreement.

He also thanked former President Trump‍ for his efforts and emphasized that recognizing Palestine aims to advance the peace process.
