Lebanese MP Warns of Dire Situation as Israel Eyes New War
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Ghassan Skaff, a lebanese parliament member, responded to the heavy Israeli regime attack on southern Lebanon that resulted in one martyr and several wounded.
skaff emphasized that the situation in Lebanon is unfavorable and something meaningful is unfolding.
He added that the presence of drones flying over Lebanese skies confirms Israel’s intent to launch a new war, suggesting a potential outbreak of conflict.
The Lebanese parliamentarian also stressed that the Gaza agreement has politically and militarily isolated Hezbollah.
Notably, Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace early Saturday morning and repeatedly breached the ceasefire by bombing a car exhibition along with heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers in the town of Msaylaha in Sidon province. The attack caused extensive damage to heavy machinery while killing one person and injuring several others.
President Joseph Aoun and Speaker Nabih Berri strongly condemned this assault.
