Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry Responds to Israeli Regime Attack on Southern Lebanon
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the ongoing repeated violations by the Israeli regime against Lebanon’s sovereignty, most recently an attack on the Al-Masilah area in Sidon city that resulted in one martyr and seven wounded, according to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news agency and al-Nashra.
the ministry stated that the strike on Al-Masilah is a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the agreement to cease unfriendly acts, which Tel Aviv has persistently refused to adhere to.
it added that these aggressions disrupt the efforts of the Lebanese Army to maintain security and stability in southern Lebanon.
Earlier Saturday morning, Israeli fighter jets violated Lebanese airspace once again and breached the ceasefire by bombing a car exhibition and heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers in Masilah town in Sidon governorate. The attacks caused extensive damage to heavy machinery, killed one person, and injured several others.
