Mississippi Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, 12 Wounded
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing CBS News via Mehr News Agency, U.S.officials reported that a shooting early Saturday morning in Leland, Mississippi, left four people dead and at least twelve others wounded.
John Lee, the mayor of Leland, told CBS News that the shooting occurred around midnight. Four of the injured were airlifted to local hospitals by helicopter.
Their exact conditions remain unknown.
No suspects have been arrested yet, and investigations are ongoing.
The mayor added that the shooting took place on a main street as American students were returning from a sporting event.
The incident reportedly happened while students from Leland High School were returning from a planned rematch against Charleston High School.
