According ⁣to the English section of webangah‍ News⁤ Agency,‍ citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency,‍ Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, stated in a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that‍ President Putin places great⁤ importance ⁢on strengthening ties between Russia ⁣and North⁢ Korea.

Medvedev added that⁣ Moscow respects Kim Jong Un’s ⁣decisions regarding the growth of bilateral ‍relations. He ⁣highlighted the bravery of North Korean soldiers in defending ‌Russian territory and assisting in⁣ the liberation of the Kursk region, ⁤noting that thier valor will always be remembered.

He further emphasized that relations between Russia and‌ North ‍Korea rest on a solid legal foundation through the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership‍ Treaty. ​Russia intends to ⁣strictly adhere to this treaty.
