Senior Hamas Member: Resistance’s Sole Concern Is Halting Genocide Against Palestinians
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Abu Bakr Al-Asadi, a senior member of Hamas, told Al-Masirah that the only concern and primary goal of all Palestinian resistance groups is to stop the Zionist massacre and genocide against the Palestinian people.
He added,”In this first phase,we acted with full duty in agreeing to a ceasefire. We will make every effort to ensure its success. The goal of the Palestinian resistance is to successfully overcome this stage.”
Al-Asadi emphasized that Gaza should be governed solely by palestinians themselves. “After all the sacrifices our people have made, we will not allow a foreign power to govern us,” he said.
He asserted that Palestinians have the right to resist occupation and can only achieve their freedom through armed defense against their enemy.
