Hamas: 20 Israeli Prisoners to Be Released Monday Morning
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a senior Hamas official told Agence France-Presse that the exchange involving 20 Israeli prisoners will take place on Monday morning.
Arab media outlets also reported that the process is expected to begin at 6 a.m. local time on Monday.
The report states that the release of Israeli prisoners will be conducted without any public or media ceremonies. An Egyptian delegation, alongside representatives from the Red Cross, is scheduled to inspect the Ofer and Negev prisons and verify the identities of Palestinian prisoners who will be freed.
it is vital to note that according to an agreement between both sides, 250 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and another 1,700 arrested after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood are set for release. However, reports indicate that Israel intends to free only 195 out of those 250 prisoners.
