New Details Emerge on Killing of Qatari Diplomats in Egypt
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, reported that the Cairo Akhbaria channel announced three Qatari diplomats died in a car accident while traveling to Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in a Gaza peace summit.
According to the report, the accident occurred after a mechanical failure caused problems with the vehicle’s steering. The car carried five Qataris along with an Egyptian driver.
The report named Hassan Jaber Al-Jaber, Abdullah Ghanem Al-Khayarin, and Saud Bin Thamer Al-Thani as those killed. They were affiliated with Qatar’s royal court and foreign ministry. The other passengers are receiving treatment at a hospital.
The crash happened on the Southern Sinai International Road. Simultaneously occurring, informed sources told Russia Today that those involved were security personnel responsible for protocol arrangements during emir of Qatar’s participation at the Sharm El-Sheikh summit.
