Federal Appeals Court Rules Against Trump

A U.S. appellate court has ruled that the federal government cannot deploy National Guard troops to Illinois.

According​ to the English section of webangah News agency,citing NBC News,a federal appellate ⁢court ⁢ruling prevents President Donald Trump’s administration from sending National Guard forces ⁤to Illinois.

The Seventh Circuit Court of appeals in Chicago also​ stated that​ the National Guard troops ⁣can remain⁤ under federal control for now.

This decision upholds a ⁢lower court ruling that blocked the deployment of National Guard units to the Chicago area, warning such actions could incite unrest and worsen conditions.

Earlier, ⁤Trump had deployed ‍National ​Guard forces to several Democratic-led cities-including ​Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Portland, oregon-citing crime-fighting⁣ efforts as justification.

Local officials have accused him of exceeding his legal authority and have filed lawsuits ⁢against him.
