Times: U.S. Threatens the UK
An American source has highlighted the white House’s threats against the United Kingdom.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing mehr News Agency,The Times reported that a US government source revealed Washington threatened London with halting intelligence cooperation over two British citizens accused of alleged espionage for China.
The source added that the White House warned UK Prime Minister keir Starmer that failure to prosecute these two individuals would damage the special relationship between the countries and lead to a suspension of intelligence sharing.
It is worth noting that in September last year, the British judicial system acquitted both citizens of these charges.
Starmer’s office has denied any involvement by him or other UK officials in this matter.
