Palestinian Authority Excluded from Egypt Summit Invitation
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a senior official told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the Palestinian Authority was not invited to the Sharm El-Sheikh meeting on a Gaza ceasefire scheduled to take place tomorrow in Egypt.
Yesterday, the Egyptian presidency announced that Sharm El-sheikh would host a peace summit on Monday aimed at ending the Gaza war. The meeting will be jointly chaired by President Sisi and former U.S. President Trump and include leaders from more than 20 countries. The formal Gaza ceasefire agreement is expected to be signed during this summit.
The Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth also reported that Israel will not participate in the Sharm El-Sheikh summit.
