Washington Post Reveals Six Arab Countries Expanding Cooperation with Tel Aviv
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency, revealed that six arab countries-Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, the United Arab emirates, and Qatar-have expanded their collaboration with Israel during the last three years.
the newspaper highlighted confidential documents from the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) it obtained. These documents show that Israel has deepened ties with these countries despite official Arab criticism of Israel’s assaults on the Gaza Strip.
According to sources cited by The Washington Post, these documents identify “Iranophobia” as the primary driver behind increased contacts between israel and these nations.
The report further disclosed that senior military officials from Israel and the six mentioned countries have held multiple meetings over the past three years under U.S. mediation.
These consultations were conducted secretly. some took place at U.S. military bases. In one such meeting, participants discussed countering threats linked to underground tunnels used by Palestinian resistance groups.
Though,The Washington Post noted that these documents pertain specifically to regional security matters and do not indicate an effort to form a “new alliance.”
