Decisive Blow to Baath Party Remnants in Complex Operation in Iraq

Iraq’s National Security‌ Agency announced that its ⁢forces have dealt a severe⁢ blow to the remnants of​ the banned Baath‌ Party promoters.

Iraq’s ​National Security Agency ​declared today, Sunday, ⁣that its forces dismantled underground cells of the dissolved Baath Party ⁤across 14 provinces and arrested 135 suspects in accordance with Iraq’s ‍law prohibiting Baath Party activities.

The agency emphasized in ⁢a​ statement:⁢ “In line ‌with ‌our national responsibility and through a proactive ‍operation to​ maintain Iraq’s security and stability, our forces​ succeeded⁤ in delivering a severe blow to‍ the remnants promoting the banned Baath Party.” This ‌unique and precise ‌operation was conducted over three months across ‍14 Iraqi provinces.

According⁤ to the statement, ‍these efforts resulted⁣ in⁢ breaking up ⁣underground networks⁤ and detaining 135 suspects ⁣by judicial order. Investigations also revealed ​that⁢ these cells had connections with foreign parties⁢ and sought‍ to rebuild the defunct Baath⁣ Party structure while recruiting youth​ through misleading slogans on social media platforms.
