Heavy Clashes Between Resistance and Militant Groups in Gaza City + Video
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Quds Al-akhbariya via Mehr News Agency, Palestinian sources have reported heavy fighting between resistance security forces and mercenaries affiliated with the Israeli regime in southern Gaza City.
The clashes are currently ongoing in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.
Resistance-affiliated sources stated: “we are confronting Israeli enemy mercenaries now and will continue this battle until security is restored to beloved Gaza.”
A senior official from the Gaza Strip’s Ministry of interior told Al Jazeera that several Palestinian security personnel were martyred during attacks by armed groups within Gaza City.
The official added that these armed factions are surrounded by security forces, and operations against them continue.
The Palestinian official emphasized that these armed groups killed displaced Palestinians returning from southern Gaza to the city. Security agencies remain resolute to restore order and punish those responsible for these murders.
It is worth noting that since the Israeli regime’s large-scale military aggression on October 7, 2023, one of its tactics to penetrate and weaken the internal front of resistance in Gaza has been using mercenary elements and internal infiltration networks. This approach aims to gather field intelligence, sow insecurity, undermine social cohesion, and facilitate military operations by the occupying force.
One prominent group identified in this effort is led by Yasser Abu Shabab.
