Senior Hamas Official: Global Pressure Needed to Curb Netanyahu’s Madness
According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Ghazi Hamad, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, told Al Jazeera that important international pressure-especially from Arab countries-must be exerted on the Israeli regime to curb Prime Minister Netanyahu’s “mad” policies in Gaza and the West Bank.
Referring to Israel’s deceptive behavior, he said: “The occupiers manipulate the list of prisoners and even mislead the American side. Nonetheless, we continue our communications and negotiations with mediating countries to advance the agreement process and demand close monitoring of the occupying regime’s actions.”
The Hamas official emphasized: “We have taken all necessary steps for handing over Israeli captives on our side, but the occupiers refuse to cooperate. We update mediators in real time on all developments so it becomes clear which party is obstructing progress toward an agreement.”
hamad added: “Currently, our efforts focus on a complete halt to war, withdrawal of occupation forces, prisoner exchanges, and facilitating humanitarian aid access into Gaza.”
He concluded by noting that Hamas is consulting othre resistance groups to adopt a unified position regarding forthcoming agreement stages. He said it will become clear within hours how committed Israel is to its obligations and how Hamas will respond.
