Red Cross Receives First Group of Israeli Prisoners
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Palestine Today news outlet, referencing its special sources, announced that as part of the ongoing prisoner exchange agreement, Palestinian resistance factions have just delivered nine Israeli prisoners to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the first phase of implementing the deal.
The report states that four detainees among this group are critically injured and in serious medical condition.
Earlier, AFP had reported that Red Cross offices in deir al-Balah city in central Gaza Strip were preparing to receive Palestinian prisoners scheduled for release.
This progress occurs as Israeli officials review and adjust the list of Palestinian prisoners set to be freed within days under the first stage of this exchange agreement.
