UK: Gaza Reconstruction Must Proceed with Urgency and Determination

According to the English‌ section of webangah News​ Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, UK prime Minister Keir ⁤Starmer, ‌currently visiting⁣ Egypt,⁣ posted on his X account:⁤ “I am in Egypt to meet with international leaders⁢ to take the first crucial step ⁣toward⁣ middle East peace.”

He asserted that ⁢Britain is ready to support⁤ Gaza’s reconstruction ⁤and will work with allies to ensure a stable ⁢future⁢ for the region.

In line with this, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated: ‌”We now need to act⁤ with equal determination and speed‍ to ⁢develop⁢ a plan for⁢ rebuilding Gaza.”

She emphasized that debris must be cleared, infrastructure repaired, healthcare services restored, and homes rebuilt across Gaza.

Cooper ⁣added⁤ that while Palestinians should lead long-term recovery ‍efforts, it ​is vital to⁢ attract large-scale investments for ​this⁢ reconstruction.
