Trump Threatens Putin!
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and The Telegraph, US President Donald trump threatened his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin with supplying Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv if Russia does not move toward ending the war in Ukraine.
Trump told reporters that during ongoing weekend conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, they discussed Zelenskyy’s request for Tomahawk missiles.
He added: “Look, if this war isn’t going to end, I am planning to send them Tomahawks. The Tomahawk is an remarkable and highly aggressive weapon. And frankly, Russia doesn’t need that.”
The Tomahawk cruise missile has a range of about 2,500 kilometers and can target deep inside Russian territory, including Moscow.
Trump said the US would not sell these missiles directly to Ukraine but could supply them through NATO channels.
He continued: “Yes, I might tell putin that if the war isn’t resolved, yes we will do it. Or maybe we won’t. Do they (Russia) want a Tomahawk flying at them? I don’t think so.”
Trump described the Tomahawk missile as a “new step in aggression” but said such a move could encourage Moscow toward peace. He added: “I really think it would be grate if Putin settles this issue. If he doesn’t, it won’t go well for him.”
