Mahmoud Abbas Reacts to the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit
according to the English section of webangah News Agency citing Mehr News Agency, Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, told Sputnik that the sharm El-Sheikh peace summit saw widespread participation from officials representing various countries. he emphasized that this was highly meaningful for the Palestinian cause.
He added,”This summit primarily addressed key issues such as ceasefire arrangements,prisoners,food supply,and israeli withdrawal. This is a very critically important matter.”
Abbas whent on to say that they want this process to be completed with two critical elements. The frist is an effort to rebuild Gaza,which requires international and Arab cooperation. The second is achieving peace through holding an international conference dedicated to this goal.
The Sharm El-Sheikh meeting in Egypt focused on ending the war waged by Israeli occupiers against the beleaguered people of Gaza. Hosted by Egypt’s Prime Minister, it brought together leaders from several countries including U.S. President Donald Trump, who expressed their perspectives on the issue.
