Qatar: Difficult Negotiations Have Begun
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson told Fox News, “We have long awaited this historic day-the signing of the Gaza agreement-especially over the past two years. We hope this step will bring stability and peace to the region.”
He added, “We postponed many issues to a second phase of ceasefire talks to ensure that the first phase would be conducted properly. Currently, tough negotiations have begun regarding security arrangements for Gaza’s border, its governance, and guarantees that war will not resume.”
The Qatari official emphasized that these talks aim to prevent any gap between the first and second phases of the ceasefire agreement.
Earlier, Qatar’s Prime Minister had also stated that complex matters between Hamas and Israel would be addressed during this second phase of discussions.
