Al-Qassam Commends Anonymous Soldiers of the “Shadow Unit” Guarding Israeli Prisoners
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, issued a statement honoring their “Shadow Unit,” which managed too detain enemy prisoners under extremely challenging conditions for two years, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News agency.
The statement read: “Salute to the unknown soldiers of the Shadow Unit who preserved enemy prisoners during two years following Operation Al-Aqsa Storm under highly complex circumstances. These forces risked their lives and efforts so that the promise of resistance to free our detainees could be fulfilled.”
It is noteworthy that the Gaza conflict officially ended yesterday after over two years with a peace agreement signed in Sharm El sheikh by leaders from the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. Throughout this period, Hamas successfully retained Israeli captives in its custody despite extensive Israeli efforts-including drone strikes and advanced surveillance systems-to disrupt resistance forces’ mission. The Israeli regime failed by force to recover its prisoners.
