Trump Announces Attack on Venezuelan Ship
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump announced Tuesday a deadly attack by the U.S. Navy on a ship off the coast of Venezuela.
The president framed the strike as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and escalate tensions along Venezuela’s borders. He claimed, “We carried out a lethal attack on a vessel belonging to a terrorist drug trafficking organization off the coast of Venezuela!”
Trump added, “This attack took place in international waters and killed six terrorists on board! No American forces were harmed!”
This comes after earlier reports from Washington about targeting Venezuelan ships.
Caracas has repeatedly stated that the United States targets its vessels within its coastal waters to justify initiating conflict with Venezuela.
