Netanyahu Repeats Trump’s Threats Against Hamas Resistance
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, while senior Palestinian resistance leaders emphasize that disarmament is a red line, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued his threats against Hamas in an interview with CBS News. He quoted U.S. President Donald Trump saying if the second phase of the agreement is not implemented peacefully, “the gates of hell will be opened.”
Netanyahu claimed, “We have agreed with America to give peace a chance, and the provisions of the 20-point plan are very clear.”
he added that the issue extends beyond releasing Israeli prisoners; it must also include disarmament and dismantling military structures.
Netanyahu stated they agreed on executing the first part of the plan and also committed to allowing a peaceful prospect for its second phase.
The comments came hours after TrumpS renewed threats against Hamas.
Trump asserted that if Hamas does not lay down its weapons voluntarily, “we will take them from them,” possibly swiftly and forcefully.
The claims by Trump and netanyahu regarding disarming Palestinian resistance come shortly after Mohammed al-Hindi, deputy secretary-general of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, declared: “Palestinian resistance groups have not agreed to disarmament and will never except it under threat.”
Earlier, Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior Hamas official, emphasized in a television interview that no one would dare disarm the Palestinian people.
