Israeli Newspaper: Hamas Prepares for Next War
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Quds News Agency, the hebrew daily yedioth Aharonoth,in a report by Avi Issacharoff, stated that Hamas,as it has said as the start of the war, might potentially be willing to relinquish administrative control in Gaza but is not prepared to disarm. In the coming weeks, Hamas plans to recruit thousands of new fighters, with many residents of Gaza eager to join its ranks.
The Israeli newspaper expressed disappointment over Israel’s vulnerability to potential attacks from Hamas and acknowledged: “We have returned to October 6th conditions-both internally within Israel and concerning Gaza.”
The report added that Hamas has reasserted control over the Gaza Strip. Within Israel’s cabinet, some officials recognize that Hamas holds more deterrence power than ever before while actively preparing for the next war.
Issacharoff emphasized another serious concern: deep internal divisions within Israeli society remain unresolved after the war. On the contrary, these tensions have worsened in recent days.
In another article by Yossi Yehoshua published by Yedioth Aharonoth, he wrote: “Anyone who planned an agreement with Hamas cannot be surprised by its outcome. The reason is simple: no timeline was set for returning all captured or killed Israeli hostages. How could such an agreement be signed with this major legal gap?”
The newspaper further noted that Hamas is consolidating its control and eliminating tribal members who challenged it and collaborated with Israel. these developments present Tel Aviv with a perplexing dilemma on how to protect these tribes.
The article’s author added that Hamas wastes no time; it uses ceasefires strategically to reorganize both its forces and civilian infrastructure. The institution has ordered thousands of security personnel mobilized to take control over areas recently evacuated by Israeli forces while concurrently appointing new governors.
