Suspicious ISIS Movements Near Syria-Iraq Borders
An Iraqi parliamentarian has warned of suspicious ISIS activities near the country’s shared borders with Syria.
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Al-Maloumeh and mehr News Agency, Iraqi MP Waad Al-Qadou has cautioned that the threat from terrorist groups based in Syria is growing as they exploit the country’s unstable situation.
He added that Syria has become a serious security threat to Iraq, especially in border regions.
Al-Qadou emphasized that ongoing instability in Syria,notably in its northern areas,creates conditions favorable for the revival and return of terrorist groups. this directly endangers Iraq’s security.
He further stated that terrorists are attempting to exploit security gaps within Iraq. “We are witnessing suspicious ISIS movements near the common borders,” he said.
