Heavy and Bloody Clash in Paktia Between Afghan Forces and Pakistani Army
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, intense fighting has erupted between afghan forces and the Pakistani military in southeastern Afghanistan.
The sources indicated that fierce clashes are ongoing in Paktia province along the border between the two countries.
No casualties from these confrontations have been confirmed thus far.
Tensions between these neighboring states escalated after Islamabad urged the Taliban to take action against militants who have increased attacks inside Pakistan, claiming they operate from sanctuaries within Afghan territory.
The Taliban deny any presence of militant groups or members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) within Afghanistan.
Today, Zabihullah Mujahid, taliban spokesman, claimed on X social media that Pakistani forces launched attacks early this morning, resulting in over 12 civilian deaths and more than 100 injuries.
