Russian Deputy Prime Minister Details Jolani’s Consultations in Moscow

Russian‍ Deputy ⁤Prime Minister‍ on​ Putin’s Meeting with Jolani⁤ in Moscow: the Parties Discussed Specific Projects Regarding Russia’s Participation in Energy and transportation Sectors.

According to the⁣ English‌ section of webangah News⁢ Agency, citing RIA‍ Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Russian deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Wednesday that syria needs to rebuild its infrastructure,‍ and Russia‌ can support this effort. Moscow and Damascus have agreed to hold an intergovernmental commission meeting in the near future.

Novak added that the two sides also discussed cooperation in various fields, including tourism. Moscow is ready to continue operations in‍ Syrian oil ‌fields. Putin and ‍Jolani ⁤talked about ⁣specific projects regarding Russia’s participation in energy and transportation sectors.

The deputy prime minister also commented on relations ​between Moscow and New Delhi, stating that India mainly pays for Russian oil in rubles; tho, it has started paying‌ partially with yuan as well, though this remains a small percentage.

This comes as Mohammed Jolani, leader of the rebel forces controlling parts of Syria, ‍met with russian President Vladimir Putin today (Wednesday).

During the ⁢meeting, President Putin ⁣said: “Russia and Syria have ‌had special relations ‌for decades;⁤ their ties have always been friendly. Moscow is ready to maintain regular consultations ‍with ‌Damascus through its Foreign Ministry. The parliamentary elections in Syria were a great ⁣success; this will strengthen relations among all political forces.I am pleased to meet you here in Moscow.”
