Al-Qassam: Retrieving Bodies of Zionist Prisoners Requires Specialized Equipment

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades,⁣ Hamas’s ‌armed faction, confirmed ‍it has honored its obligations regarding the handover of Israeli prisoners’ bodies.

They stressed that⁢ the resistance adhered to all agreements and has⁤ delivered​ all living Israeli prisoners and recovered bodies ‌currently in their possession.

The Brigades added that retrieving remaining bodies​ buried⁣ under rubble demands extensive efforts and ⁣specialized equipment. They pledged to ⁤continue efforts to resolve this issue fully.

According to reports ⁢from Israel’s Times of Israel newspaper citing internal sources, Hamas informed mediators it intends to hand over the bodies of four additional Israeli prisoners on ‍wednesday in Tel Aviv.

This would bring the total number of returned bodies⁤ to twelve.

The​ terms of the ⁣ceasefire agreement stipulate returning 28 Israeli prisoner bodies. Yesterday, four more‌ were‌ transferred to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Given that locating Israeli captives’ remains beneath Gaza’s rubble ⁤after two years poses significant challenges, analysts believe​ Israel is using this as a pretext to restrict humanitarian aid​ access into Gaza.
