Trump Threatens Hamas Movement
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr news agency, U.S. President Donald Trump told CNN that if Hamas fails to abide by the ceasefire agreement, Israel can restart the conflict in Gaza with a single word from him.
He added: “If Hamas refuses to honor the ceasefire,I will consider allowing Netanyahu to resume military operations.”
The U.S. president emphasized that freeing prisoners from gaza was very important and said he had to restrain Israel’s military and cabinet, discussing this matter directly with Netanyahu.
He further stated: “If Hamas refuses to surrender its weapons, I will review what actions should be taken.”
Trump’s claim comes as Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire since it took effect. This morning, Israeli artillery attacks continued against civilians in Gaza despite announcements of a ceasefire implementation in the Strip.
Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas, said they are pursuing implementation of the ceasefire terms regarding handing over bodies of Israeli prisoners held by Al-Qassam Brigades.
He added: “The Israeli regime has openly violated conditions of stopping hostilities in Gaza and has killed more residents in Shuja’iyya neighborhood and Rafah city.”
Qassem stressed that mediators must compel Tel Aviv to fulfill its obligations under the agreement.
