Trump: Ukraine Aims to Go on the Offensive; I Will Decide on Tomahawk Missiles

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump referred explicitly to Kyiv’s request for long-range Tomahawk missiles from Washington. He stated that in his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, they will discuss Kyiv’s intention to transition into an offensive phase against Russia.
Responding to reporters’ questions about providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine and the upcoming White House meeting with Zelensky, Trump said: “We will talk about the war. They (the Ukrainians) want to go on the offensive. I will decide about that, but it is indeed their decision, as you know, and we have to make a decision on this.”
Russia has consistently maintained that supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would not change conditions on the battlefield. The Kremlin also asserts that operating these advanced weapons requires direct involvement of American specialists, which in practice means Washington’s entry into the conflict against Moscow.
