A source in Syria’s Ministry of Energy told Al Jazeera that an explosion near a bus carrying forces allied with the Jolani regime occurred on the Deir ez-Zor-Al Mayadin road, resulting in several dead and injured.
Syrian media reported that the blast, caused by an improvised roadside bomb, killed four fighters loyal to Abu Muhammad al-Jolani (Ahmad al-Shara), leader of the rebel group controlling Damascus.
