Moscow Delivers Sharp Response to Trump’s Claim on India Halting Russian Oil Purchases
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and TASS,Dmitry Peskov,the Kremlin spokesperson,referred to recent remarks by US President Donald Trump about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreeing to halt purchases of Russian oil. peskov emphasized that Moscow bases its position solely on official statements.
Trump claimed that modi assured him India would no longer buy oil from Russia.
Peskov responded: “We rely on official statements from India’s Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi as well as those from Beijing. These declarations are publicly available, and we adhere to them.”
Earlier, Randeep Jayaswal, spokesperson for india’s Ministry of External Affairs, said Indian officials prioritize consumers’ interests when it comes to energy imports.
