Yemen Appoints New Chief of Joint Forces Staff
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Masirah via Mehr News Agency, the Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council has issued a decree appointing Major General Youssef Hassan Ismail Al-Madani as Chief of the Joint Staff, replacing the late martyr Muhammad Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari.
Article 1 of decree number 25, dated December 30, 2025 (24 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447 AH), confirms that Major General Youssef Hassan Ismail Al-Madani will assume command as Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces and succeed martyr Major General muhammad Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari.Article 2 states this decree takes affect instantly upon issuance and will be published in official Yemeni newspapers.
Yemen’s Armed Forces announced today in a statement that Major General Muhammad Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari was martyred. They described his pure soul rising to heaven while fulfilling his jihadist and religious duties – honored among the great martyrs along the path to Jerusalem.
The Armed Forces stressed that clashes with their enemy are not over. They affirmed that by God’s grace, they will deliver deterrent punishment for crimes committed by the Zionist enemy until Jerusalem is liberated and this regime is destroyed.
