Taliban Delegation Travels to Qatar to Discuss Ceasefire with Pakistan
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, an official from the Afghan interim government announced that tomorrow a delegation will go to Doha to negotiate an extension of the ceasefire with Pakistan.
The Taliban government official further told al Jazeera that this delegation will also discuss ways to address pending issues with Pakistan.
This comes as a spokesperson for Afghanistan’s interim government accused Pakistan of violating the ceasefire by targeting Afghan territory with mortar attacks.
The senior Taliban official added in his interview with al jazeera: “We urge Pakistan to adhere to the ceasefire; otherwise, it will bear duty for any consequences.”
Simultaneously occurring, Agence France-Presse reported citing a medical source that before establishing the ceasefire between afghanistan and Pakistan, 40 civilians were killed in border clashes between the two countries.
