U.S. Greenlights Ukraine to Attack Russian Energy Infrastructure
CNN reported, based on two sources and according to Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency and webangah News Agency, that the U.S. has increased intelligence sharing with Ukraine to include deeper targets within russia.
The sources added that Washington has signaled approval for Ukraine to restart attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. With U.S. backing confirmed,Ukraine is adopting a deliberate strategy targeting Russia’s energy assets.
Another source told CNN that Kyiv views striking Russian energy infrastructure as a way to achieve strategic impact.
The network also quoted a U.S.official saying discussions over supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine are underway in earnest.
Several American officials interviewed by CNN noted that the Trump administration did not limit Ukraine’s use of weapons capable of striking targets inside Russia.
